Aspiration Talk

Today we heard from Marcus Winter aka The Sandman and Louis Gordon -Latty. We were all blessed to have them at our school,also there was Andrew Patterson he was introducing our two visitors,will met him last year he was very hilarious.

Louis Gordon- Latty was really inspirational because he was really into basketball,and basketball is one of my favorite games I've played. He is an inspiration to me because he records a lot of his games,and has a lot of detail,because he added a fans and commentary into there game.

What stood out for me was when Marcus Winter talked about how he was growing up and mentioned about the life he is in now. The inspirational thing I heard was when Marcus said "when ever you get bounced you will always have to bounce back," I have never seen one of his art,but when our teacher Mr Wiseman showed us a video of his art I was really amazed of what he does.

I am glad that they came to see our year 7 and 8's,because what I have loved about them is that they had a lot of quotes. Also they never gave up even though they got bounced from a lot of things,the thing I learnt today was to never give up and keep trying.

A day out with my friends

Guess what? Poly fest started this week. I was so excited that we were going with our friends and with our teachers. The year 7 and 8's had a opportunity to go to Parakai pools if we behaved well at the Poly fest, Mrs Tele'a was talking about how we have to behave when we are at Poly fest. I was wanting to go on the first day but we couldn't .

The student's from different schools and our year 7 and 8's were so lucky, because got to meet John key. He had a lot of photographers wanting to take a photo of him but his securities kept on telling them to go but I was excited.

Different activities all around Poly fest. Our first activity was to play squash the point of the game was to try and get the fastest serve, the fastest girl's serve was 111 and the fastest speed of the day was 124 and that was my score. My favorite activity of the day was squash, because I had a lot of fun and it had high scores the fastest in the world was 263. and at the end we got to watch some performances and walked around the stadium twice.

I hope I could go to Poly fest with the year 7 and 8's, because I had a lot of fun with my friends and all the parents that came.

Last week we made tortilla wraps we added all the ingredients together so that we could make a healthy lunch. Because once a daily a lot of people eat junk food but it dosent make your body that much confident to eat veggies. That why we eat healthy food

My goals for this year/term

My goals for this term is to move up a level on writing because I don't understand the language of writing. My other goal is to co operate with all the classmates of class one or to get my work done on time.

My goal for this year is to get a good reputation to get into a good college.

And my other goal is to make it into a representative team like roller mills.
